Can you place an automatic transmission in a 1931 ford model a?
looking at rebuilding a 1931 ford model a that has no transmission in it and i was thinking of an automatic (even though i am planning on the manual) transmission. where can you go to find new or rebuilt engines and transmissions for the 1931 ford? i was thinking of putting in a small v8 or v6 but i would like to keep it looking stock. any ideas or thoughts?Can you place an automatic transmission in a 1931 ford model a?even though you want to keep it stock looking go to a junk yard and purchase a chevy truck engine with a 330 hd engine and a machine shop employee will willingly bore it out .60 thousands of an inch and u will have 500 horse power with a medium cam. attach that to a 700 r 4 and thats how you make a ford run. run ford run. yours truly chevy guy alias hippie dave lolCan you place an automatic transmission in a 1931 ford model a?if want it original then no automatics for it they weren't made yet if want to go small V6 or 8 then find a C4 trans will work perfect for the frame and engine.try e-bay see what's out there for partsdisneymovieclub spongebob games online
