What are the signs of a fuel pump going out in a 2003 Ford Expedition?

I have a 2003 Ford Expedition, and my truck takes a couple of turns of the ignition key before it starts. Also, it recently just started to turn off while driving. Are these the signs of our fuel pump going out or is it something else? Also, the relay switch board seems to get really hot. I am not to sure if that is natural, but its really hot to the touch. If the symptoms are still there, have your fuel pressure checked. If that's not it, then have the shop do an injector flush. This is where they hook a bottle with gas and injector cleaner to your fuel rail and run your engine off of that bottle. That cleans the injectors, valves and pistons like there's no tomorrow, and it will run GREAT after that.
