How many miles can I reasonably expect to put on a 1995 Ford Taurus 3.0 engine before it fails?

I have a 1995 Ford Taurus Station Wagon that I absolutely love. I've kept up with the routine oil changes. The car currently has 153,000 miles. How many more miles can I expect to put on this engine before it needs to be replaced (and any ideas about how much a replacement engine for this car would cost)?

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. How many miles can I reasonably expect to put on a 1995 Ford Taurus 3.0 engine before it fails?Depends upon how you drive and service your your car. I have 234,000 on my 3.0. Replaced the timing belt at 190,000 and the fuel mileage went back up to the high 20s. 90% of my miles are hHow many miles can I reasonably expect to put on a 1995 Ford Taurus 3.0 engine before it fails?
I had an '89 Taurus GL wagon with the 3.0, so I know how great it is. I kept mine until 165k miles, when it was rear ended. After that, I got a Taurus LX with every option available. Sometime around 145k miles, I could smell a faint scent of antifreeze when driving, and later discovered that coolant was leaking through the timing chain cover gasket, dripping onto the exhaust pipe, then evaporating to the inlet of the HVAC system. About 10k miles later I replaced the timing chain cover gasket myself over the weekend, it was actually pretty easy, and in the process, I replaced the timing chain - what a difference that made! It ran like new! It idled smoother, had more torque (at the expense of running smooth at very high rpms), and most importantly, the transmission would no longer "jerk" when downshifting from 2nd to 1st when stopping. My engine consistently consumed 1 quart of oil for every 1,000 miles, which hear is quite normal. I would highly recommend any and all of the engine tune-up/ oil treatment products from Justice brothers, one of which is designed to help valve stem seals do their job.How many miles can I reasonably expect to put on a 1995 Ford Taurus 3.0 engine before it fails?Change the water pump now if original . Cost of replacement by yourself would be around $400 to $600 depending on how much you paid for replacement . Can go up in to early 2000s to get motor but you need to use your intake and front cover . Replace gaskets and timing chain and water pump before install . Have torn these engines down with 220,000 miles and no ridge on cylinders and still had cross hatch hone marks in block .How many miles can I reasonably expect to put on a 1995 Ford Taurus 3.0 engine before it fails?
The Ford 3.0l Vulcan V6 is one of the more reliable engines out there. 250,000 miles should not be a problem. The weak link on the Taurus has historically been the transmission. I think it's unusual to get more than 100,000-150,000 miles on the transmission between rebuilds. How many miles can I reasonably expect to put on a 1995 Ford Taurus 3.0 engine before it fails?well Ford's are one of the best car names out there...if you take care of it...you will be fine...if you have kept stuff up....and tended to any squeeks, rattles, oil and air filters....expect 250,000 miles...maybe 200,000...unless its really messed up now...expect atleast that much...good luck God Bless----NickHow many miles can I reasonably expect to put on a 1995 Ford Taurus 3.0 engine before it fails?
I agree with Nick, taken good care of, you could easily realize 250,000++
