How do you remove a 2001 Ford Focus Engine?

So my husband is trying to help a friend replace a 2001 Ford Focus engine, but the problem is that for the life of them they can't get the original engine out because it's stuck. They go to lift it out and they end up lifting up the entire car! Any tips? How do you remove a 2001 Ford Focus Engine?tell them to check and make sure all the mount bolts are loose and out of the way,and all th linkage is out of the way,you have to lean those to get them out,i have did a few before and their no fun at all to get out,the front of the engine has to come up first, good luck. How do you remove a 2001 Ford Focus Engine?

How do you remove a 2001 Ford Focus Engine? If it's a manual transmission model - the engine and trans will have to come out together from the underneath. You will need to remove the front subframe 1st. If it's an auto, there is a chance you'll get it out the top,but make sure you've removed the bolts that connect the torque convertor to the drive plate and push the convertor back 1st.

I'm assuming all engine mounts and fixtures are unbolted here. How do you remove a 2001 Ford Focus Engine?
