My Dell is brand new and the TV is 3 years old. I have been told it can be done so that I can watch movies and do work and be viewed on the tv. Can anyone tell me what is needed to do that?Is it possible to connect my Dell laptop to my HD VGA television?If you have a VGA Port on the back of your TV then you can buy a VGA to VGA Cable at your local electronic store. You'll have to check the back of the TV to do so... It will look like this:

That is a port that is on a Laptop, but on a TV it will also look the same. VGA Ports are better if you have one because you TV will adjust perfectly for your laptop and will not be blurry. Also, because I can only answer a question once, telling everyone else what kind of TV you have will be able to help someone else answer the question properly.
