http://raceabilene.com/kelly/hotrod/engi鈥?/a>What is the difference between Ford 302 engines?Wow.
I could go on forever about this question, but I'll REALLY try to be short...
The Boss 302 Mustang made in 1969 for Trans-Am racing, had four bolt mains. Very rare...
It was also made in 1970.
Mercury also had it's version of Ford's Mustang Boss 302, called the Cougar Eliminator, in 1969 and 1970.
They also were for Trans-Am racing. Ford and Mercury made a little over 500 of them because The racing santioning body required any special racing engines a manufacturer made had to be put into a production vehicle.
I do not believe the Windsor 302 used today has 4 bolt mains, nor did they ever have them. The Windsor 302 has been around since 1968, when it replaced the 289 small block.
Ah, yes....
Those were the days...What is the difference between Ford 302 engines?a boss 302 is what you want they have Cleavland heads..
and came in most mid size fords in the late 60's
the are not as good as a boss 351
