Does the Dell Windows 7 Upgrade work on other computers?

I just recieved the Dell Windows 7 Upgrade in the mail today, and tried installing it on my Gateway computer. The software didn't start when I put the disc in, so does that mean the upgrade will only work on a Dell computer? And will it work on any Dell computer or just the one I got the upgade for? I believe you can install it on another Dell (not too sure), but you can have only one activated copy, which means activating the other computer by other means would be illegal.Does the Dell Windows 7 Upgrade work on other computers?It's an OEM version, and it's going to get tied to whichever computer you activate it on first. You won't be able to transfer it to another later like you can with the retail version.
