My dell computer is not working How can i fix it?

ok i got a laptop. when i turn it on it asks me to either repair it or start windows normally. well if i click either one it takes me to my sign in screen (where my username and password bar are) but the username and the password bar arent there. I called Dell and they didnt help me. What shall i do?My dell computer is not working How can i fix it?Try starting it in the safe mode. Press the F8 key several times as the computer starts up.

If you can get in then you have a driver or software problem with Windows.



Shut down the computer properly using the start menu. and try starting it up again.



If it does not start...Try again in the safe mode and remove any recently installed programs or drivers and try again.. If you still get the same problem, boot into the safe mode and choose to restore to an earlier time, when it worked.



If you still have a problem and if you have the Windows installation disk. put it in the computer and re-start it. When you get the choice choose repair.



If you don't have the disk and you did not make one when you 1st got the computer and you still have problems when the computer boots up see if there is a boot partition that contains the recovery files...Normally F10 during the boot
