Hi, I placed an order from dell for an inspiron 17 notebook on Tuesday 8/18- when I check the order status it says it is "in production". I have never ordered anything from Dell before, does anyone have any idea how long it might actually take to get. The estimated delivery date is 9/8 which seems like a really really long time! Anyone have any ideas?! Seriously, you're paying 2x the actual value of whatever you are buying and it will have proprietary parts... meaning your options to upgrade later will be very limited and expensive.
