When is a Ford going to win a Nascar race ?

I'm a Jack Roush fan but it seems like the FR9 engine is a boat anchor. It has no more power than the old engine. The Fords get smoked down the straights. It's making Carl Edwards a mid pack racer for most of the race along with Kenneth and Biffle. I can see why Kane wants to jump ship next season. Ford needs to go back to the drawing board with this engine. I think Ford builds some of the worlds best cars and trucks but they struck out on this engine package.When is a Ford going to win a Nascar race ?Well when NASCAR lets Ford bring another race package to the normal non restrictor plate tracks. Remember back right before the last 10 races of the 08 season, when all the Chevy lovers were hollaring and screaming, we don't have any power. Well NASCAR gave Chevy a torque enging package that gave them the definate edge, and Chevy hasn't looked back since. Now as long as the horsepower is even, NASCAR is going to turn a blind eye to Chevy having a 50ft. lb. torque advantage over the field. Then again this is the way NASCAR has always been, if Chevy loses a couple races, you can set your watch that Chevy is going to get something special from NASCAR. Kinda like back in the 84-87 years. Ford had found a good thing with the sloped back of the Thunderbird. That was the way Ford engineers had worked it out to be a great car. Not for just NASCAR but in their road cars, it was very effective as well. Well Chevy went on for 3 years without any change to their production Monte Carlo. Well Chevy fans wanted a change, and so be it, NASCAR let Chevy enter in during the middle of the season, the fake Monte Carlo, with the addition of the sloped back glass.

Or when Bill Elliott was dominating the tracks with his 351 Cleveland. His dad had went up north and bought a Dyno for Dan Elliott, from Roger Penski's Indy garage. Well Dan started working on the 351's heads and found a way to swirl the air going through the intake, into the cylinder, this swirl cooled the air, as well as the cylinder itself as it was entering into the cylinder. The cooler engine system then allowed the compression of the pistion to be raised. At the time most NASCAR teams was running 13:1 compression, but Dan Elliott was able to run some 14:1 and 14.5:1 compression ratio's and still keep the engine running in good temperatures... Chevy cried and cried, the best excuse they could muster was, "Oh, the 351C is a big block". NASCAR bowed down to Chevy and outlawed the 351C and destroyed all the work that Dan had done...

NASCAR turned a blind eye to Jeff Gordon's crew, for 6 years pulling the fender openings outwards during every pitstop, to actually help add downforce during a race. But stripped Matt Kensith of a victory for the top of his car not being in compliance or height after he jumped on it... Jeff probally had 30 victories during those 6 years, and nothing was ever said, NASCAR probally never threw a template on his car at all. Because the NASCAR head official over legalities was Gary Nelson, an ex RICK HENDRICK CREW CHIEF...When is a Ford going to win a Nascar race ?
I'm a Ford fan to,Roush Racing is a top notch team,however I think Roush has became Fords babysitter for all the Ford teams,with the exception of the Wood Brothers.Roush has to many irons in the fire now to concentrate just on the Roush cars.If it was'nt for Roush,there might not be but four Fords five with#21 on the track on occassion.Ford has to have cut back on financial aid and R%26amp;D for their Nascar program.Ford should have full time sponsorship on the #21,even if just to show appreciation to the Woods for loyalty has for Ford the last 40 something years.Yea,hope Ford gets back in winners circle soon to,either way I will be driving a Blue Oval till the law says I'm to old to drive anymore! Then someone else will get to drive my Fords for me.When is a Ford going to win a Nascar race ?First Kasey Kane's contract is up and who wouldn't want to go to Hendrick if they had the chance in the first place? Besides, his departure was announced before the FR9 motor was even used.



Chevy and Toyota are just that much stronger. Again, it has ZERO to do with the FR9 motor. It is lighter than the old motor and someone will win. Probably Kane, Kenseth or Biffle.When is a Ford going to win a Nascar race ?
I'm a Ford fan too. Almost seems like they need to go back to the old engine as the new one hasn't them any good.
