How do I get the num lock activated on a Dell Inspiron N4020?

How do I get the num lock activated on a Dell Inspiron N4020? I'm trying to help a friend get the accents in Spanish, and for that the num lock has to be activated. The laptop apparently doesn't have any num lock key for the F11 and the laptop is so new I can't find an online manual for it. Can anybody help? We do need to use accents and tildes.
