What does it mean by "raw" in tagalog?

I use google translator translated it as raw in english too

but from my information which i printed from wikipedia tagalog grammar page.

it said it should be said, just like daw in tagalog

such as sabi raw/daw niyaWhat does it mean by "raw" in tagalog?
it means to say "according to someone". raw is used when the preceeding word ends in a vowel. daw when the preceeding word ends in a consonant.

examples:

Siya raw ang bumili. (He/She bought it according to someone.)

Si Marlyn daw ang bumili. (Marlyn bought it according to someone.)

Si Marlyn daw ang bumili, sabi ni Ana. (Marlyn bought it, says Ana.)
The google translator is correct. "Raw" is used when the word before it ends in a vowel. Sabi raw. "Daw", on the other hand, if the preceding word ends in a consonant. Bukas daw. But it's really not a hard and fast rule. In conversational Tagalog, you may use either one. Come to think of it, the word "raw/daw" doesn't have an English equivalent. The closest I could think of is "accordingly"...like there's a sense uncertainty to it coz it was hearsay. What does it mean by "raw" in tagalog?
"Raw" ,,, in English we say ... "that's what they (he, she or it) say (says).

We usually add the word : "raw or daw" when we are not certain or we can not prove things said or heard. Iyon daw ang tunay na edad niya. He said that is his real age.

Bukas daw ang dating niya. He said he will arrive tomorrow.
Raw = The information is coming from the third person

Somebody says, she said that..What does it mean by "raw" in tagalog?
it reffers to something the third person says..
IDK
